01801: Emergency Medical Technician-Ukiah
Instruction includes health care terminology; medical, legal and ethical issues; baseline vital signs; and cardiac and environmental emergencies. Actual hands-on training is part of the program. CPR training will need to be completed before the end of the EMT class.
SENIORS IN HIGH SCHOOL - contact your high school counselor or administrator to discuss enrollment in this class, at no charge. Students should call or visit Mendocino County Career Technical Education to get the high school application for this class. **The $225 fee, which includes supplies and books, is due by February 1, 2010. ****Fee of $41.00, for background check (required by UVMC and most ambulance services), will be due during the course. **Please note: Class will be held at Ukiah High School! Directions to: 1000 Low Gap Road, Ukiah, CA 95482 From Highway 101, take the North State Exit. Turn right onto North State Street. Follow North State to Low Gap Road. Turn right onto Low Gap and stay on Low Gap until you see Ukiah High School. Take the second entrance and look for the J building. The class is in J-5. |
