Cal-Safe

The intent of the Cal-SAFE program is to provide academic and child care/developmental services to teen parents in order to help them successfully complete their high school education.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Eligible?
A male or female student, 18 years or younger, may enroll in the Cal-SAFE program if he or she is an expectant parent, the custodial parent, or the non-custodial parent taking an active role in the care and supervision of the child and has not earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Where can Cal-SAFE services be received?
Any school in Mendocino County that provides academic instruction and has a contract with Mendocino County Office of Education (MCOE) to provide the services listed below. Historically, MCOE has had contracts with Round Valley, Fort Bragg, Willits, and Ukiah Unified School Districts to provide services/support for Cal-SAFE students.

Pregnancy Prevention DVD 

"Mommy, Daddy, Wait for Me" is the title of the new teen pregnancy prevention DVD that will be distributed to all schools and agencies in Mendocino County. The Teacher's Resource Guide is now available.
