CTE Hosted State and National Testing

Mendocino County CTE has become the testing site for State and National testing for certification in Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy (CPT1), Emergency Medical Tech (NREMT) and Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Medical Assistant

• Testing is now administered through The National Healthcare Association (NHA)

• Test Dates: TBA

• Location:  2240 Old River Road, Ukiah, CA, Birch Building

• To take the California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants exam through PearsonVUE, please follow the

PearsonVUE Testing Procedures  

Phlebotomy (CPT1)

• Testing is now administered through The National Healthcareer Association (NHA).  Fee of $105, to be paid by credit card, online before the test.  Go to www.NHANOW.com to register for the test.  See the Process for Phlebotomy Certification for more information.  Licensing and certification is through California Department of Public Health, Laboratory Field Services.

Criteria:  Cannot have taken the exam within the last 90 days

What to bring:  Current photo identification

Emergency Medical Tech (NREMT)

• Test Dates:  TBA
  

• Location:  2240 Old River Road, Birch Building (MCOE Computer Lab)

Criteria:  Fee of $70, to be paid by credit card, online before the test.  Must have completed an authorized program, must have received your ATT letter from NREMT and registered at Pearson VUE at our site.Please follow the procedures on your ATT letter to register through PearsonVUE for testing (we cannot register you, you must follow the instructions on your ATT letter).

Reminder - seats are limited to 15. Please do not wait until the last minute to register for testing. It takes about 2-4 days once you complete everything to receive your ATT letter.

What to bring:  2 forms of current photo identification.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) Training

• Year One Training (2011):  September 19, 20, 21, 22,  and 23

• Year Two Training (2012):  January 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26

• Year One Training (2012):  June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14

• Location:  Mendocino County Office of Education, 2240 Old River Road, Ukiah, CA, Cedar Building

• Time: 9 AM - 5PM

Direct Support Professional  Challenge Tests Year One and Year Two

• October 26, 2011 and March 28, 2012 are tentative dates for the Challenge Tests.  Exact dates to be determined by interest.  Please contact Donna Trouette for further information.
