Emergency Preparedness

The Mendocino County Office of Education is committed to providing leadership in school community emergency preparedness and continuity of operations during an emergency. We provide training and support to districts through our Emergency Preparedness Council.

Emergency Operations Center (EOC)

MCOE  is the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for schools in Mendocino County. Using the National Incident Management System (NIMS) for maximum efficiency, MCOE will act as the communications clearinghouse between schools and the county EOC during significant events. The EOC has backup power that supports telephone, FAX, e-communications and video conferencing. MCOE has installed a two meter HAM antenna and power supply to support operations by the Mendocino County Amateur Radio Communications Service.
