KUDOS
The Mendocino County KUDOS FOR KIDS Afterschool Education and Safety (ASES) Program Consortium represents a union of 6 school districts, community partners, parents, and students who have a common vision that recognizes and seeks to develop the potential of each child by providing an enriching, fun, and safe environment that supports academic, emotional, and physical development in afterschool settings.
KUDOS FOR KIDS combines centralized county support and coordination with district oversight and site level management. As the Local Educational Agency and ASES (Afterschool Education and Safety) grant applicant, MCOE (Mendocino County Office of Education) provides coordination at the county level, with responsibility for grant management, fiscal monitoring, data coordination, attendance and expenditure reporting to the California Department of Education, staff development, communication, and monthly coordination meetings.
KUDOS FOR KIDS (K4K) afterschool programs operate a minimum of three hours a day, five days a week immediately following the regular school day. They are open until 6:00 p.m.
