Expanded Learning professionals are invited to join a new three-part professional development series led by Margaret "Maggie" Peters (Yurok/Karuk), a traditional basket weaver, regalia maker, and cultural practitioner dedicated to preserving Indigenous cultural traditions through the teachings of Elders in her family and community.
Designed specifically for Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) staff, this interactive series will help participants build positive, inclusive, and culturally affirming program environments. Each four-hour session combines reflection with practical application, equipping attendees with tools they can immediately use to help students feel seen, valued, and connected in their learning environment.
Participants may attend one, two, or all three sessions.
