(Coast) Crack the Code: Using Assessment to Explore Students’ Thinking and Growth in Mathematics

June 17

9:00 am - 2:30 pm

In the Crack the Code: Using Assessment to Explore Students’ Thinking and Growth in Mathematics workshop, presented by Dr. Barbara Blanke & Sarah Kingston M.Ed., you will recharge your daily teaching and accelerate your students’ mathematical fluency. Join MCOE for a day of learning and collaboration filled with fun, food, and resources.

Explore ways to assess students that reveal understanding, not just answers. Engage students in meaningful mathematical discourse while using formative assessment to guide your instruction. Learn how to use evidence of student thinking to plan next steps and craft re-engagement lessons that deepen skills and reasoning. You'll also discover strategies to support students in building a collection of effective tools and models for problem-solving.

Participants are eligible for follow-up on-site coaching support and a $250 stipend.
