The Mendocino County SELPA is governed by the Superintendents' Special Education Policy Council, made up of district superintendents, a Community Advisory Committee representative, and the SELPA Executive Director (nonvoting/secretary). The Council develops fiscal and operational policies and agreements to guide the implementation and coordination of special education programs in line with state and federal requirements. This is a Brown Act meeting and is open to the public.

Public Participation and Communications - Each speaker is to keep their remarks to a maximum of 3 minutes, to state their name clearly, and to provide any written backup. If you wish to submit written comments, please provide 18 copies to the SELPA Director. The Policy Council cannot dialogue on any issues brought before it by the public that have not been previously agendized, but may refer these items to the SELPA Director for response and/or placement on future agendas. At the discretion of the Policy Council Facilitator, the order of items may be changed on the agenda. 

Individuals who require language translation services, disability-related accommodations or modifications, including auxiliary aids and services, should notify Melinda Maxwell, Program & Fiscal Analyst for SELPA, 707-467-5166, at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. All efforts will be made for reasonable accommodations. Wheelchair access is provided.
