The Risk Management & Safety Department's mission is to cultivate a proactive and comprehensive safety culture across our educational community. We are dedicated to the well-being of every student and staff member through a commitment to prevention, education and collaboration.

Services

  • Comprehensive Risk Management
    Our team provides direct support to MCOE employees and district partners with risk assessment, workplace safety evaluations, and loss prevention strategies. We help identify potential hazards in your work environment and develop practical solutions to keep you safe.
  • Safety Training & Support
    We offer hands-on training programs, safety workshops, and ongoing support specifically designed for education professionals. From classroom safety to office ergonomics, we provide the knowledge and tools you need to maintain a safe workplace.

Worker’s Compensation

If you're injured at work, MCOE's workers' compensation program is here to support you with prompt medical care and benefits.

What to do if you're injured:

  1. Seek immediate medical attention if needed
  2. Report your injury immediately by calling the Company Nurse at 1-877-518-6702 (Search Code: SIG07)
  3. Notify your supervisor and email the Risk Manager at kheath@mcoe.us
  4. Complete incident documentation as directed by your supervisor

Safety & Emergency Preparedness

This section provides comprehensive safety plans and resources to help our employees prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Safety Committee

The MCOE Safety Committee includes representatives from across our organization who meet regularly to address safety concerns and improve our programs. Your input drives our safety improvements.

Transportation

The FMX Transportation module is an all-in-one system for managing our organization's fleet of vehicles. It allows MCOE authorized drivers to reserve vehicles and submit rental car requests.

How to Submit a Vehicle Request

  1. Log in to FMX: https://mcoe.gofmx.com/login
  2. Navigate to the " New Requests" section.
  3. Click on the new option titled "Transportation Request." 
  4. Use the following FMX Transportation Module Directions (pdf) for step-by-step guidance on how to complete the new transportation request. You may want to print out this PDF, as it is quite detailed! 
  5. To make sure you get all the necessary notifications for your transportation tickets, you'll need to update your email preferences for the transportation module. Please follow the instructions in the FMX Email Notification Setting Directions document.
