Hello AI! Unlocking K-12 Computer Science Workshop
Mendocino County Office of Education and Lake County Office of Education are offering a three-part virtual workshop series to help educators bring computer science and AI literacy into K-12 classrooms. The sessions provide engaging lessons and hands-on activities that integrate computational thinking, creative problem-solving, and foundational AI concepts.
Unlocking K-12 Computer Science: Virtual Workshop Dates and Topics
- Wednesday, February 4, 2026, 4-5:30 PM: Learn and Teach about AI | Experience an introduction to AI literacy and explore materials to help students develop a foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence.
- Tuesday, March 17, 2026, 4-5:30 PM: CS Unplugged | Experience and explore Computer Science activities requiring no technology.
- Monday, April 27, 2026, 4-5:30 PM: CS Integrated | Experience and explore Computer Science activities that may be integrated into Mathematics, Science and ELA.
Participants who complete the series are eligible for a $125 implementation stipend.
