Rooted in Belonging: Cultivating Resilient Schools & Minds

Mendocino County educators, counselors, and youth-serving professionals are invited to come together for Rooted in Belonging: Cultivating Resilient Schools & Minds, a two-day conference focused on supporting the whole student.

Taking place in interior Mendocino County (TBA) June 23–24, 2026, this event is designed to create a collaborative space where participants can share practical strategies and real-world approaches to the challenges young people are facing today.

The conference centers on three key areas:

  • Student Engagement and Belonging
  • Student Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Family and Community Partnerships

Participants can expect meaningful conversations, actionable ideas, and opportunities to connect with others working to strengthen school communities across the region.


Call for Presenters

We are currently seeking presenters who can bring dynamic, interactive workshops that support educators and youth-serving professionals in this work.

Proposals should focus on practical tools and strategies that address the needs of today’s youth and help rebuild connection and belonging in schools.

Priority topics include:

  • Student Engagement and Belonging
  • Student Wellbeing and Mental Health
  • Family and Community Partnerships

Session format: 75–90 minute breakout session with active participant engagement

Important Dates

  • Submission deadline: April 24
  • Notification of acceptance: May 8
  • Final materials due: June 1
