Join Mendocino and Lake COE for a multi-day experience that combines a one-day, in-person training with asynchronous activities to prepare you to teach Computer Science (CS) in your elementary classroom next year.
We will explore the concepts, practices, and pedagogies of CS. Expert facilitators will share model lessons and curricula that prepare elementary students to be critical creators of computational artifacts through language, culture, and self-expression. You will leave this workshop with a personalized plan for teaching CS in your class next year. Public California educators are eligible for a daily stipend (3 days) following completion of all elements of the workshop.
- Friday, June 20, 9 AM - 3:30 PM: in-person at Mendocino County Office of Education in Ukiah.
- June 21 - June 28: Complete a series of asynchronous activities to prepare you to teach CS in your classroom next year.
