If you're passionate about helping others and interested in the medical field, MCOE’s Medical Assistant (MA) program is a great place to start. This comprehensive, 10-month course prepares students for high-demand roles in clinics and physician offices. Through in-person instruction, students gain hands-on experience and learn both clinical and administrative skills essential for success in today’s healthcare settings.
What You’ll Learn
Our comprehensive curriculum combines clinical and administrative training so you’re fully prepared to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced medical environment. You'll gain skills in:
- Taking vital signs and rooming patients
- Understanding body systems and medical terminology
- Medical charting and electronic health records
- Healthcare regulations including HIPAA
- Front office operations and scheduling
Graduates leave the program ready to work as qualified medical assistants, supporting physicians, and providing quality care to patients.

- Class Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4:30–8:30 PM
- Location: 2240 Old River Rd, Ukiah (MH Building, MCOE Campus)
- Orientation: December 15, 2025
- Tuition: $4,500
- (Students must provide their own scrubs, blood pressure cuff, and optional workbook.)
