The Inclusion Academy is a professional learning series focused on creating truly inclusive educational systems by aligning culture, policy, and practice. It supports leadership teams in fostering belonging, confronting ableism, aligning policies with inclusive values, and centering student experiences. District teams—including COE and SELPA administrators, district and school administrators, teacher leaders, related service providers, and support staff—are encouraged to attend. Participants engage in collaborative learning, reflection, and cross-system partnerships to drive sustainable, equitable inclusion.
Leadership Teams Will:
- Reaffirm their commitment to inclusive education by cultivating a culture of rightful presence, where every student is seen, valued, and empowered—and lead with courage to confront ableism in all its forms.
- Foster environments of belonging by identifying inclusion allies and elevating shared responsibility across roles and levels.
- Align systems and policies to reflect inclusive values, ensuring coherence, accountability, and sustainability.
- Center educator beliefs and student experiences to inform the design of effective and equitable inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with statewide partners to strengthen cross-system alignment and accelerate impact.
