Applications Open for Phlebotomy and Dental Assistant Programs

The Mendocino County Office of Education is now accepting applications for its spring Phlebotomy and Dental Assistant programs through the Medical Pathways initiative. These hands-on training opportunities help local residents prepare for rewarding careers in healthcare, combining classroom instruction with real-world experience. Students gain the skills, confidence, and certifications needed to step directly into the workforce and make a difference in their communities.

Both programs are designed for adults who are ready to begin a healthcare career. Classes are held in Ukiah, and space is limited for each cohort.

Students learn to assist with exams, restorations, and extractions, as well as handle charting and sterilization. The program also includes OSHA and bloodborne pathogen certifications, ensuring graduates are ready for safe, professional practice in a dental office.
