In partnership with School & College Legal Services of California, the Mendocino County Office of Education is offering a three-hour, interactive Section 504 training for school and district leaders.

This workshop is designed for Section 504 Coordinators, school site administrators, and supervising district office administrators. Training will be provided by Debra I. Sanders, Associate General Counsel II with School & College Legal Services of California.

Participants will gain legal clarity and practical guidance to support the development, implementation, and oversight of legally sound Section 504 plans. Topics include the legal foundations of Section 504, eligibility determinations, creating individualized plans, ensuring consistent implementation across school settings, maintaining procedural timelines, and using data to demonstrate compliance.

The session emphasizes real-world application, helping administrators strengthen consistency, reduce risk, and confidently lead Section 504 processes at their sites and across their districts.
