SEL Week Toolkit Available

The Mendocino County Office of Education 2026 SEL Week Toolkit is now available to support schools in celebrating National Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Week, March 2–8. SEL Week is a global, grassroots celebration of social and emotional learning to support children’s academic achievement and well-being.

Social and emotional learning refers to the skills that help everybody understand and manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make good decisions. These skills support students' academic success and contribute to positive school climates where students and staff feel a sense of community belonging.

This year’s toolkit includes ready-to-use activities and simple planning resources for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as ideas for engaging adults in school communities. Schools can use the materials during SEL Week or throughout the year to strengthen connection, belonging, and student wellness. We encourage schools and partners to explore the resources and join us in highlighting the importance of social and emotional learning across Mendocino County.

The toolkit is available as a downloadable PDF here.
