Mendocino County SELPA invites educators and school-based professionals to join an engaging day of learning focused on understanding trauma through the lenses of science, local data, cultural responsiveness, and historical context.
Participants will explore the neuroscience of trauma, review county-specific data and trends, and examine the historical and intergenerational impacts that continue to shape the experiences of children, families, and communities today. A special generational panel will provide diverse perspectives on resilience, healing, and community strengths.
This interactive training is designed to move beyond awareness and into action. Attendees will leave with at least two practical strategies they can immediately implement in their classrooms, schools, or professional practice to support trauma-informed and culturally responsive environments.
Together, we can build greater understanding, strengthen connections, and create environments where all students and school communities can thrive.
