ProACT Restraint - Coast
ProACT (Professional Assault Crisis Training) is a program designed to help staff safely prevent and manage challenging behaviors. It focuses on early intervention, effective communication, and de-escalation strategies to reduce risk and maintain safety for both staff and students, with physical interventions taught only as a last resort. The basic training is 16 hours and must be successfully completed before participating in the 4-hour restraint portion, which provides instruction on safe, last-resort physical intervention techniques.
This offering is for the 4 hour restraint portion.
Note: Only MCOE/Mendocino County District staff are eligible for this training. 48-hour cancellation is required. Individuals must obtain prior approval from their Special Ed Director before registering for a SELPA-sponsored training.
